John was 100 percent Irish, with the Celtic gift for storytelling. He was a Shakespearean scholar and an avid correspondent with people of like interests around the world. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His storytelling, laughter, sharp wit, charm, keen intelligence and presence in our lives will be deeply missed.
